How to Perform
With the patient’s forearm supported and the wrist in neutral, ask the patient to place the thumb into the palm and close the fingers over the thumb to make a fist. Stabilize the forearm and gently passively deviate the wrist toward the ulna. The test is positive if this reproduces pain on the thumb side of the wrist over the radial styloid.
