How to Perform
Begin by carefully palpating the area of pain or other concern. Palpate the sternoclavicular joint, clavicle, acromioclavicular joint, acromion, coracoid process, greater tuberosity, and bicipital groove as clinically indicated. Compare paired structures bilaterally. Note any focal tenderness, swelling, or warmth.
