How to Perform

Assess speech and language by listening to spontaneous speech for fluency, articulation, rate, volume, and prosody, and by testing naming of objects, repetition of words and phrases, comprehension of spoken commands, and reading and writing. Note any impaired articulation (dysarthria) or impaired language (features of aphasia such as nonfluent output, paraphasic errors, or impaired comprehension).
